First off, thanks for the help with locating the Sony discrete on/off codes. I have that working now.

This is kind of trivial but I'm sure someone has a better work around or an actual code.

I have the Sony codes for single IR code to access video 1 > 6 but not 7 / PC
I have my PC hooked to the PC input/video 7 but can,t find a code that will work as a direct access for that input. I have it working with fine with a macro aliased to a button labeled PC Input...

1 - Wega
2 - up_up
3 - select
4 - up_up_up
5 - select

My TV is a Sony KDF-E50A10
With remote #--RM-YD003

I hope there is a less convoluted way but I can't come up with one. Seems like I am stuck in a rut and can't see a better way LOL.

I also wonder if there is a better resource or link that shows more clearly how to use the variable feature for mimicking discrete codes. I must be incorrectly interpreting the instructions in the MX-3000 programming manual. When I follow it, it will not work. I think I incorrectly understand how it works or how to use it.

I am trying to set up variable on/off codes for...

DVD changer/ Pioneer DV-F727
With remote # ---CU-DV039

Receiver/ Pioneer VSX-9900S
With remote #----CU-VSX023

Note: I bought both of them in Germany so I suspect that is why I had to manually program every single IR code. The discrete pioneer codes would not work either.

Thanks,
Ken

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Thanks for the IR info but I Have to say I have not found out how to get it converted and imported into my MX-3000 editor. I have a copy of ProntoEdit NG V.2 but I do not see a way to cut and paste the code into the IR editor window.

Thanks,
Ken

Could someone point me to the easiest conversion and import tool for getting this into my MX-3000 software to test. I downloaded a couple of them in the files area and they do not seem the least bit intuitive and the documentation is no help. I can read and burn proms but without an intuitive interface to write hex I am lost LOL What I am saying is I know enough to know that I do not know:-)
