I own the 500, but have an 850 on the way. Since I also have an MRF-300 coming, this question may be irrelevant, but how does the IR strength compare with these two remotes?

Also, is there any reason to have the 850 set up with certain devices as IR, or is it a no brainer to connect the 300 up to all as RF?

Thanks
Greg

The IR is pretty close. The 850 might be a tad better.

It's common to run the 'tv' with IR.
I prefer RF for everything so my 'all off' macro works no matter what!
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

I also use RF for everything because I have a 250 hidden in a window valance with a hole cut in it for the Blaster Window to direct the IR to my stack of devices.

I also found that with some devices, like my cable box, I think (or maybe it was my plasma), if you use both, the device can get the signal twice and not be able to make sense of it, or it executes the command twice. So for some devices you will have to make a choice on what works best, presuming that you will be operating devices open to the viewing room.
