Hi,

I am looking for discrete power codes for a Sony DVP-777ES to be used with a MX850. I have gone through most of the codes in the IR Database with no luck. Anyone know codes that work? Can you import individual Hex codes into the MX Editor?

Thanks,

John

Do the P-ON, P-OFF comands not work?
They've worked for me!

If not, try a 'play' for on, 'play'-'power' for off.

The 850 does not allow for a direct import of hex codes; you will have to use 'Pronto-edit' and import the codes.

I'm sure that should work with standard Sony DVD discrete codes. Check the ID the player is set to and make sure you're using the right codes.

Yes, as Daniel said, make sure the command mode is set to 1, and standard sony commands will work.

Be aware that most sony cd/dvd players that hold 300+ discs don't turn on with a play command if there are no discs in it. This may not seem like an issue, but if you're setting up a new system and haven't loaded discs yet, it can throw you for a loop.

Cool, thanks... the p-on/p-off commands i was using would power up and power down wheather it was the on or off command. I will double check and verify the command mode.

Thanks for the help.
