Is it possible to create an event when leaving pages?
I have a situation where I need to change the input on the TV back to normal when leaving the DVD player control. I don't want to do it any other time though so I can't simply put a input code on the source selection otherwise it will be triggered at the wrong times.
My thought was to switch the input when going to the DVD page and then back when leaving. But to do that I need an event to be fired after leaving the page.
Please advise.
Thanks

There is no way to do it simply because you left a page, but if you design the remote appropriately, all of the buttons that would allow you to leave the DVD section could set the TV input back.
You couldnt have a "Back" button anywhere in the DVD menu unless you only have one DVD page, otherwise it may or may not be leaving the DVD Device, if the only way to get out of the DVD Device is by using the Main Hard button then turn on your User Preference (Under the File Menu) to modify the Hard Buttons. Now set your Main Button Macro to not only jump to the main page, but also to set your TV input back to normal.
Please let me know if you have any questions, if need be I would be happy to look at your file for you.

What do you use to exit the DVD page? You could program that button to switch the input. Even the Main hard button can be programmed (Go to User Preference and check User Defined HardKey...).

The button on the bottom of the remote I thought was hard coded to hit the home page. If I can change that for each device than yes that's a great idea.
I guess I expect a bit more from these software packages. Adding variables (for button states) and conditions would be a definite plus. As a software developer you always want more I guess :-)

The MX-3000 does allow variable state programming.
As hiker states, you can allow the 'Main" button to be programmed, however, then you need to program it for each device. Why not simply make a BOB (big obvious button) on the DVD pages to exit and fire the macro.
