Hey guys,
I have an MX-600 w/RF already installed upstairs in my 2-story place and for a separate TV downstairs I was thinking of installing a MX-800 w/RF. Will the MX-800 interfere with the MX-600. I love these remotes and wanted to get all my systems using these remotes. Thanks for any advise you can provide.

If the signal from the mx-800 can reach the mrf-100, yes.

The MX-600's RF base station (MRF-100) will respond to signals from the MX-800, but unless you have identical components (that respond to the same IR signals) upstairs and down, it shouldn't cause any problems.

The 600/ mrf100 is the weak link.
It isn't 'rf addressible'.

The 350,650,800,850,and 950 are.(when used with a 200,250, or 300 rf reciever)
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

So if I have 2 mx-800's they will not interfere with identical rf base stations?

If you set the dial on the RF base stations to different codes and program the remotes to correspond to the different codes then they will operate separately.

The question remains: Do you have any identical components in both locations? If not, just get one MX-800 and don't worry about the MRF-100 receiving signals from the 800 as they won't do anything anyway (unless in the unlikely event it's receiving signals from both remotes at the exact same time).

I currently have a mx-600 w/mrf-100 and the mx-600 is held together by a rubber band, because it has been dropped too many times. (these remotes are durable!) I was thinking on replacing it but only wanted to replace the remote and not the mrf-100, and need a new remote for my main Home theater system. The mx600 controls a bedroom tv, which is not as important as my main system.
