As the component & hdmi share inputs on my Pro-910HD, i have a d-vhs connected via component input 1, and an explorer 8300hd connected via hdmi input 1. To switch between the two, you have to go into the menu and enable/disable the hdmi port. Is there a discrete code that will allow me to press one button for input 1: hdmi on / hdmi off? Thank you in advance.

Plug the D-VHS into input 3 via component.

I should have explained myself better. I'm already using component (input 3). I have my Panasonic DVD-RP82 plugged into that port.

get yourself a component video switcher, something inexpensive like the A/V Tool Box device will work great. It has discrete codes for 4 in and 2 out.
