I can load and use on my Win-2k desktop. But when I try to install it on my Dell XP home edition laptop I get ...
"error 1933 could not update one or more protected files"
Anyone know where i should look to fix this problem. I made sure I had admin privileges I decreases the security to weak I turned off my anti virus, reinstalled XP windows installer V2.0 then V3.1 from the Microsoft website.
Thanks Ken

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |

The information here might be of some help: [Link: support.microsoft.com]Good luck; it doesn't look like an easy one.

Well I finally got it! Thanks for the link. I was able to find explanations of what the error message was but not what to do for fixing it.
I had to reinstall XP home to get the MX-3000 software to finish the initial install. I suppose one of my programs or hardware profiles changed the registry enough to prevent the MX-3000 software from installing (likely a USB device).
I suppose I will find that out when I try to use what stopped working LOL.
Thanks, Ken
