Not sure what the heck is going on here. I am a somewhat experienced user of the MX-700, and I have not seen this issue before. It seems to be hit or miss when I try to import mxd (or mxd files within an mxf file) files.

Sometimes I am able to import, but other times not. For example, sometimes I download a file off remotecentral, then I go to import, and I hit the > button to move it to a button spot, but some device names show up in the "Used External Devices" window and I never get the "OK" button, so I am stuck and cannot import. For other devices, nothing shows up in that window and the "OK" button isn't greyed out - and it works.

Very strange. Any ideas?

Thanks and Happy New Year!

The external devices show up when the device you want to import has shortcuts or macros within it that reference other devices. For instance, I import the Comcast cable box all the time into my remotes, but when I originally saved it, I had shortcutted the OFF button to the MAIN OFF where system off resides. I also had a TV ASPECT button that showed up. Click on the external device above and assign it to the same device below. You may have to do this 2 or 3 times before the OK button shows up. To avoid it you can resave the device with no outside references.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
