first, let me say that my mx-850 appears to work fine. but, when i download a few things from the editor, you know how the screen goes through a diagnostic....well, my remote says something like:
irrout fail
irand fail
can anybody tell me what is failing and why?

try replacing the batteries, that can affect up/downloading.
What part of "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." do you not understand?

That's how it boots up. Normal operation. Don't know why, but they all do that.
