Won this - broken MX-700 and working MX-200 remote. I have a MX-700 but useful as spares. Do you think I paid a good price? I know the MX-200 was £50 alone, MX-700 new and working £140 but spares such as body, LCD panel, membrane, motherboard and cable add up. 6 Alkalines also :-)

I bid on that item... :(

I would expect that it should be possible to get the MX-700 working again with some careful investigation around the IR Amp chip. Pitty yhe MX-700 is not IR/RF or you could just try a RF base station.

I've been looking to buy a MX-500/600/700/etc on ebay, but would only pay below $50 for a MX-500 as newegg.com has the MX-500 for $75, MX-600 for $133 and MX-700 for $140 with $5 shipping, so don't feel ebay is worthwhile unless the saving is substantial.

If you wanted to unload that MX200, I could get rid of it for you.

Nah I'm going to use that MX-200 :-) Does it have the same connector as MX-700? (upload/download) Programmed it under MX Editor with Daewhoo TV & Bush DVB (toggle bit codes) As for MX-700 try repairing it.

It does use the same connector, and the same editor program too.
