I have a macro in Page1 of my TV device which is simply 2 commands, the first calls for the "PIC" learned command which on on TV Page2, and the 2nd command calls for the TV "1" button - also a learned command. When using the TV device, this works fine. But a shortcut in the DVD device mode which points to this macro will correctly call for the TV Page2 command PIC, but then calls for the DVD "1" button rather than TV 1 which is in the macro.

The above illustrates only one place I have this problem, but I actually need pointers to macros in 10 or more locations. Having to create unique macros for each instance rather than just using shortcuts has added 17 KB to my MXF file size! I've checked the manual and it says that a shortcut to a macro is acceptable. This problem exists in both versions 236 & 253! Can anyone help?

Merry Christmas!
Bill

I've had that same problem on my MX-700. I have a macro for my Plasma TV inputs which I tried to add to another macro which turns everything on and then changes inputs on my Plasma. I've tried changing the delays in my macro with no luck. The only way it works is if I issue the indivdual commands that are in my TV input macro manually within my power on macro.

Let us know if you figure out a solution.

To Eric Johnson: It's been 2 days and nobody has stepped forward with a fix for this problem. If you're agreeable, I'll send my MXF file to you and tell you the exact places in the code where I have this problem. Maybe you can spot what's wrong with my programming OR maybe you'll see that this is a true bug. Let me know!

Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill,

Merry Christmas, sorry to be so tardy to post. By all means, send me the file. There is no-one around to look at it today, but I will have it looked at tomorrow.

You can email me at [email protected]

Best Regards,

Hello Eric,

The file and a complete explanation has been sent, along with a CC to Mitch57 since he has been having the same problem.

Thanks, Bill

I sent Eric Johnson a full description of the problem and an MXF file on 12/27. Not having heard back from him, I sent a 2nd message on the 28th simply asking if he got my message of the 27th. So far I haven't heard back from him . . . maybe he's on vacation?
