Hi folks,
I have a question that I have run up against time and time again, and do not know the solution. I use mostly the URC 200 and 300 for universal remotes for their ease and end-used friendliness. We also are DISH Network installers, and some of the DISH remotes are RF only. I can usually get by with using the P-pro code to get most of the functions out of the URC, but with the 811 HD receiver, there is a specific button that I cannot get onto the URC, the "format" button. And since the 811 remote is strictly RF, there is no way to learn this onto the URC that I know of.
I guess my question is, are there ways to get around issues like these, or do you just have to tell the end user they have to use their original remote in times like this? I have only done about 10 remotes over the years, so I am in no way an expert and obviously am intrigued to learn more.
Any help or suggestions would be fantastic. Thanks
