Has anyone ever gotten the Volume for the DB-940 working with the MX-3000 ??

The Built in codes "DO NOT WORK", the volume stutters when these are used (you have to hit the button a billion times). I can not learn directly from the Sony remote to the MX-3000, I can learn from the Sony to my MX-500 (which works flawlessly) I have attempted to learn the volume up/down from the MX-500 to the MX-3000 and it causes the same issues that using the built in codes do. I hae also copied from the pronto and the same results. I have brought this issue up with URC over 8 months ago and still no solution. It seems the MX-3000 has got some limitation.

Anyone out there with a solution ???

When learning, it is often best to tap the Vol + or - button about 5 - 7 times before the remote says "GOOD". This way, the volume should ramp up or down smoothly for you. Press and hold does sometimes work, but I've found this to be more effective. Please let me know if this works for you.

Thank you,
Damon DG

When learning the IR codes, put your hand in front of the Sony remote, then press Vol+, keep pressingthe vol+ button while removing your other hand quickly. Now you should be able to ramp the volume when you use the learned code.

Sorry.. Doesn't wok. I can learn from the Sony remote and get 2 goods it is just hat whatever the MX-3000 is learning isn't the same. I will either get no response whatsoever or after multiple presses the volume will jump wildly. I have had an MX-1000 and an MX-500 which have never had any type of problems with this remote. It is a bit disappointing that an expensive piece of hardware such as this is having problems which a $20 Wal-Mart RCA doesn't have and on what is probably the most import piece of equipment in the rack.

I don't know where URC got their database but I can be sure they were not actually tested.
