I have a customer who has a MX500 where the main Power On button on the upper right side of the LCD has come out. The customer still has the button and it looks like it has a black contact spot on the buttom of it and that if we carefully glued it, making sure not to get any glue on the contact spot, we could put it back together ourselves. Any thoughts?

All the buttons are part of a single membane rubber thing, so bit hard to repair it..also need it to be pushed up otherwise contact will be on. Similar to these..

Since the gap between pad and faceplate is so small don't think you can patch around the tear.

Thinky you're going to have to buy a new keypad :-(
Shut it Dole scum! :-)

If you superglue your mx-500 keyboard theres a probable chance that you will render your 500 useless.....if you get just a bit of CA on the board it will corrode. Id just get the keypad replaced.

You should call URC and have them repair it for you. You can reach them at: (914) 835-4484. Get a return authorization number and send it in. There may be a small charge for replacing the keypad if it is not in warranty, but it's not much.

Thank you,
Damon DG
