I purchased the MX3000 for $500 on ebay. Brand New. Felt like I got an incredible deal. Now I have it at home and am struggling to program it. I can make it work to control my devices and will probabaly get the macros to work with time. Does anyone out there customize these through the internet? Willing to pay to have it done correctly. Or where can I find custom device labels that someone out there has already done. EX: the MX-3000 does not come with a projector label. However I have one I need to control. I don't get help I know I will be only scratching the surface of this remotes capabilities. Thank you for any input.

Thank you Glack! Yes, this is exactly what I do. I sell and program the Universal Remote Control brand of remotes exclusively at the moment. It doesn't matter where you purchased your remote, I will still do the programming (although you will not get a manufacturer's warranty from an eBay or other unauthorized seller).

Please call me at: (914) 509-5360 or e-mail [email protected].

Thank you,
Damon DG

Damon, how is that working out for you? I've been thinking of doing just about the same kind of biz out of my home, but wasn't sure if there'd be enough interest online to make a go of it. After programming remotes like this for 7 years, i've learned time and time again that there is no substitute for actually being onsite with the equipment...so i've always worried I would commit to something online that I couldn't see through without paying for a plane ticket :) I have experience and even won the contest, so I think I have laurels enough, but again is there enough biz (and to that end are there already a million other guys doing it?).

Then again Damon, if you need to out source ;) I'm here for ya man

Rob,

Things are going well, thankfully. The part that provided me with the abiliy to do this offsite is my experience of being a Lead Tech Support Agent at URC. I've been through so many troubleshooting sessions there that it's down to a science now. Had I not known all of the little ins and outs, I may not have been able to do this nearly as well.

There are some other companies who tried this, but most of them aren't around anymore. It's a lot of work and requires full time dedication. That's really all I can say.

I will certainly keep you in mind if I need backup. Which contest did you? If you meant the URC template contest and are good at graphic design, we need to talk. :)

Thank you,
Damon DG
