Does the MX 700 control the lighting in the room? I've been looking at reviews, but can't seem to find this information. Thanks!

What's your lighting control? I have IR dimmer that works with 700 (or any learning IR remote) as long as you can learn it, is pre-programmed or have CCF or MXD/MXF profile/code(s), and it's IR it'll work.

I have no idea. This is for my father-in-law. I am technically illiterate. However, I'm going to assume that it is possible to control the lighting if he has the proper equipment. Thanks for your help!

Have you got model of the lighting control? If it's a fancy Creston or Lutron system definitely codes around. I have pic of mine somewhere if you can post a pic of yours edit here's mine... [Link: screwfix.com]
