I know this forum is filled with RF threads, but here goes: I have the MRF-300/RFX-150, with MX-3000. As other people have, I have had mixed performance with the RF "hit rate". It seems, however, to vary by time of day. My question is: what impact does increasing the gain in the RFX-150 have, if any? When I tinkered by turning it way down, it seems like the hit rate was far less (I am generally about 15 feet or so from where the RFX is sited). When I turned it way up, it's better, but still not 100%. Thoughts? (Sorry if covered elsewhere -- I didn't see it). Thanks, as always.

I would start with adjusting the emitter gains (one device at a time) until you acheive the best output to operate the device reliably.

Also, turn the 'blaster' off if the mrf-300 is in an enclosed cabinet with the equipment.

Generaly, the higher the gain on the rfx-150, the better chance of receiving interference.

It's hard to say if your having rf interference.

Since it varyies by time of day, is it possible that sunlight is flooding the ir reciever of your equipment(requiring more gain on the emitters)?
