Good question, I'm wondering the same thing.

Before I do this, will my new smaller file be
compatible with the old version of the software?

**AS FAR AS I CAN TELL **There is nothing new about the files except for the fact that the Cached BMP's have been removed. These will be re-created upon saving the file in the old editor, (watch how much longer the save command will take to execute).

I will accept no responsibility for anything unfortunate happening to your file, but nothing bad happened to mine, except that it got MUCH larger. :-)

Make a backup copy, worst that could happen is you will be stuck with exactly what you have now, a small slow file. Cant hurt to try.

OK. I am in the office, the engineers are looking at the MX-3000 page transition issue and the MX-950 disappearing text in Button Editor. We will have permanent fixes soon.

For the MX-3000 issue, as Triple B has surmised, you can reinstall an old version and the file will then return to normal page transitions. There are no other issues. I would appreciate if anyone with slow page transitions would email me a couple of pages from their configuration that show the slow transition.

For anyone with the MX-950 disappearing text in Button Editor, if you restart your computer, the problem should be solved. If you still have issues, email me at:

Thanks Eric. That worked.

I restarted my computer so that is probably why I saw no problem. The prompt after the download said to restart the computer.

FYI, live updates have been rolled back while they're working on the problem.

It usually just says to restart the program, so that's probably why I missed it. :-)

Are you sure about the MX-3000 editor too? I just tried it and it said my program was already updated, meaning I have the latest.

Hmmm. Apparently, it 's only if you haven't updated already.

Just a note. I uninstalled the newest editor, and installed the version that's here in the Files section. I opened my "smaller" configuration file and then saved it with the older editor. All is well.

Looks like a new Live Update is available for the MX-3000. File sizes are still very small. I don't have access to my MX-3000 right now to test page transition speed.

Anyone try it yet?

What do you mean by the file size is back to normal. I'm seeing the new "smaller" file sizes with the latest Live Update. Again, I haven't tried this out on the remote yet.
