I currently own a Pronto Neo and am sick of the touchscreen and crappy buttons that keep breaking so I'm looking at upgrading to the MX-850 with the MRF-250 (the wife has a hard time standing still while my macros run resulting in frantic cell phone calls when I'm not home). Before I make the switch, I have a couple of concerns if they'll work with the MX-850...
1. I was able to program the Neo to automatically jump to a preset volume setting on my Yamaha receiver when switching devices. Like the DVD would be -50db and hitting the cable device would automatically adjust the volume to -40db. Will I still be able to do this on the MX-850?
2. I have 2 Showstopper 2xxx series Replay units in my family room. I was able to configure the Neo to use seperate codes to operate each unit. Meaning if I hit the power button for 1 Replay, the other won't turn on. I don't remember exactly how I did this but had to use Rc6a Pronto codes, ccftools program, RC3200 software, changing the "unit" number...etc. In other words, it was a pain. Will I be able to learn these codes into the MX-850 or will the seperate "unit" function not transfer over? Or is there another way to do this with the MX-850?

For both your questions, you should be able to teach any command from your Neo to the MX-850. If your preset volume was achieved through repeted volume button pushes in a macro, you could do that as well. If it is a preset volume that activated by a single command, that command can be learned to the MX-850. Mike www.SurfRemoteControl.com
