i'm looking for the ultimate remote to control my home theatre, and i'm trying to decide between the Nevo SL and the MX 950. i find the programming factor of the Nevo a little intimidating. How easy is the 950 to prgram for someone with little/no programming experience?

It's really pretty easy. It comes with a guide in PDF format, that if you read through it, you will have an excellent handle on how to program. Download the program and manual from the URC site or from the remote central "Files" site

It's not that difficult, but if you want to find out if you want to do it, just download the software and programming manual from www.universalremote.com. It's great, no-cost way to find out if it's something you're comfortable with.

As suggested in the previous posts, download the software and the programming manual. See what you think. You may find it to be really easy, or you may find it a little intimidating. It all depends on your personal comfort level.

thanks Damon... i seem to be leaning back toward the Nevo SL, as it seems they will be similar in difficulty to program, and the price difference is very minute here in Canada.... still kinda on the fence though. i know with hard buttons i really cant go wrong with the 950 or even the 850(actually after comparing the 2 side by side and "feeling them up" the 950 feels WAY better in my hand than the 850). its just SO HARD TO RESIST the WOW factor of the Nevo SL!
