I recently purchased the URC-200 and the MRF-100 for my home theater system (Bose 28LS). After reading through the archive threads, I finally figured how to teach the remote to accept the commands from the RF Bose remote via the IR emitter(thanks to this site!!).
The problem I now have is that the Bose system is not accepting the commands from the URC-200. I've taught the remote several times with sucess but the Bose won't take it. Note that I have the RECEIVE IR COMMANDS setting to ON. Any help would be appreciated. I am sure that there are folks out there that got this to work.

The learning method with the Bose is very shaky and often takes numerous tries, even if the URC-200 flashes "GOOD". Have you tried the Bose preprogrammed codes in the IR database of the 200? Mike www.SurfRemoteControl.com

Yes, I did try every P-PRO codes with no success. After teaching the remote 8 times with "GOOD", I finally got the power button to work!!!! Frustrating indeed, but committed to get this darn thing to work. I figure I will plan to put time each day to get at least one button working...so....after about a month, I should be okay.

I suggest getting a cheap OFA remote, have the LS codes loadwed over the phone, then use it to teach the urc-200. See this threads: [Link: remotecentral.com][Link: remotecentral.com]

Ron,
The codes in the database DO work. Do not go out and buy another remote. You need technical support. Please call us at 800-901-0800 and ask someone to walk you through using the Pre-Programmed codes, then test them with the MRF-100 POWERED OFF. When you get the codes to work line of sight, THEN power on the MRF-100 and position the emitter so that all codes work all the time. You have to do these things in this order for things to work out.
One of the issues that has confused others is the step where you are prompted to select "From Table". Get tech support to walk you through this process. You can reach them at 800-901-0800. I am travelling tomorrow morning, but you can call me on the weekend if you like.
Best Regards,
-Eric

Eric - That's the best news I've heard so far. Not sure what I am doing incorrectly when I am at the "FROM TABLE" part, In any case, I'll call...crossing my fingers.

Eric - After our discussion that weekend, you mentioned to get with certain individuals via the tech support number...no luck. No one ever seems to be answering...tried 3 times this week...please relay the Bose codes for lifestyle. The manual currently states the following codes: 070, 170, 224, 347. Are there additional ones?

Code 409 is the one for the LS28. If it's not in the URC-200, you may be able to get them to add it by sending the remote in to URC.

Ok Ron,
Here's the scoop on the Bose:
Audio 409 is the setting number for the URC-200 if it is the first generation LS28. I believe that there is a setting in the LS 28 that has to be switched on so IR can work, and it is possible that there is a separate IR piece that needs to be purchased from Bose so it can receive an IR signal.
The LS 28 Series 2 (current product) is AUDIO 459, and this unit has an IR receiver built in, it just needs to be set up via the internal menus for it to work.
If you do not have any of these code sets in your URC-200, it needs to be flashed with the IR information, simply contact Customer Service at 1-800-901-0800 for an RA#.
