I finally finished customizing my "Customizer" but I have a couple of problems:

1. Some of my learned soft keys are slow. In other words, the original remote sends the commands repeatedly without any delay. However, the learned button on the 300 takes almost 1 second to send repeated presses of a particular key. I noticed that some of the soft keys are fine but these may in fact be factory keys (from the preset table) - not sure.

2. There doesn't seem to be a way of erasing a preset key. I can blank out any key's text and erase the learned code but it still sends data when the empty spot is pressed.

3. I can't assign a single learned key to a device key. If I go to learn mode, hit page up twice and then touch a device key, the remote will "pretend" to learn a key for the device key but it doesn't actually work.

4. Changing the "from table" does not actually use the soft key layout from the chosen device's table. This is probably not implemented in the software since the documentation doesn't even say you can do it.

If anyone has any "work arounds" or thoughts on any of these, I'd like to hear from you...

ping...

I'm really concerned about the slowness problem. The other things I can live with. My question / comment to URC customer service went un-answered (day three).

Great! That was it. The ones that were slow just needed to be re-taught. Stupid me - assumed "good" meant good and not "sort-of good".

I've noticed lately that every time I program a MX or URC series remote, there's always a couple commands that need to be retaught...
