I receive a mx-3000 for christmas last year and am now finally sitting down to set it up (otherwise I'll get an installer for christmas this year [may not be a bad think]). I have a harman kardon AVR 510 and FL8380 CD with PA-4000 and KP-1's (with IR) for four remote rooms. I don't see codes in the MX-3000 editor for for FL-8380. In addition, I don't see the codes for the other AVR functions like input select, etc. - are these the commands found in [harman kardon -1, -2, etc.?]
thanks andy

Andy, Try CD - Harman Kardon 3. That one should control the FL-8380. The AVR 510 code has input commands. Can you explain what input funtions you need with a little more detail, so I can understand more clearly? thanks for the tip, I will give it a try!
I'd like to setup some macros so when I turn on the DVD it switches the AVR to DVD, sets surround sound mode to dolby, etc. I'd like another for multi-room to turn multi-room "on" and set input to CD. (I've got some macros now so when I click on DVD it sets my samsung input using discreet ccodes, turns DVD on, etc. so it's just a matter of better understanding the IR setup)
I look forward to the results of your skins contest.

I do not have any MX 3000 experience (yet), but let me lend a hand with the HK.
For the multi-room stuff, the input and power IR codes are the exact same as the main zone. If you run a plug into the multi-in IR in the back, the input codes will control the second zone, no macros needed.

My multi-room jack goes down to a PA-4000 in the basement which brances off to other IR-detectors on KP-1 keypads, so the IR port is not open.
My son often likes to turn on multi-room without being in the other rooms, hence I wanted to set it up on the MX.
