the MX Editor software for the MX-700/800/850
has discrete power on/off that work just fine.
The inputs however, don't work. But here is
a work around at the bottom of this thread:

I will try to test it this weekend and post my
results but if someone else tries it first please
post your findings here.

Okay! I tried the input macros, using the directions in the above post, and they work fine.

Mitch, thanks for the info. Now I'll feel more comfortable with my client's install.

I can upload my .mxd file for you. Will that work? I will try and remember to do that when I get home this evening.

What Gives? I uploaded my device configuration in "zip" format last week and it still isnt listed in the files section. How long does it take to post files on this site?

Okay. My Panasonic TH-50PX50U configuration file is now in the files section for download.

After download you should check the discrete inputs. I'm using them but they are not bullet proof at this point. Sometimes the inputs don't change when they are used in a Macro.

It would be great if someone would download the files and try using the inputs in a macro and let me know what results you come up with.

Mitch,
Thanks for the file. I'm going to downlaod it now and try it tonight . I have the 500u but I'm hoping the codes are the same.

Previously you posted and were asking for Picture settings. Not sure if our plasmas share the same ir codes but I know we share the same glass so here are my current calibrations after approx. 120 hrs.:

Picture: +12
Brightness: +10
Color: +4
Tint: -4
Sharp: +3
Color temp: Normal
Color Mng: Off

Thanks Tanin. I'm going to have the set ISF calibrated within the next month or two. I will post what the settings are after calibration.

What did yoiu base your settings on? Personal preference or did you use some sort of calibration disk such as Avia or Video Essentials?

I used a calibration disk and then tweaked the Color and Sharpness slightly based on personal preference.

Very curious to hear what ISF calibrated settings are. Please post a follow-up.

Have you been able to try the 50u codes on the 500u?

Thanks,
