Can someone help me with what the before and after functions for this DVD changer should be? I've got it working great with Pioneer 727 and Sony 860, but have 400 DVDs I cannot get access to!

I have two 985's that are working perfectly. My before macro is contains only two command to the 985 (separated by delays, I use .1) :

STOP
Display

The After Macro starts with a

.3 sec delay
ENTER
.3 sec delay
DISPLAY

Hope this helps.

I have no idea why, but these settings aren't working on my 985. The player receives the first digit, but none after that.

Dale,

I have a 995. I follow a very similar pattern to that mentioned by Lane above.

***Before Macro***
STOP
five second delay
Display
half second (.5) delay
ENTER

***After Macro***
ENTER
Five second delay
DISPLAY

The only difference I see between my code and Lane's is that I have an ENTER command before the macro is executed. And of course, I use longer delays. Perhaps this will be of some assistance to you.

Cheers,
John

I just wanted to take a moment to say that I got this problem diagnosed last night, and it turns out that as expected, the problem lies not within the DVD Changer, the MX-3000, or Bracken's excellent software, but rather in the absent-mindedness of the person doing the programming: Me.

To make a long explanation short: If you save yourself some time early in your programming by skipping a step that you know you'll come back to later, it's a good idea to actually come back to that step once "later" comes.

Thanks everyone,
