BTW, that is an industry standard battery.
I'm a ham radio operator, and buying batteries for handhelds has always been a cash cow for manufacturers. $75 for a battery for a $200 radio - come on! My family and I have bought lots of aftermarket batteries. My most recent radio I bought actually had a replacement battery that only cost $39 from the manufacturer, so I snapped it up. Later, my son bought the same radio and noted cheaper batteries online. Sorry for the background being so verbose, but....
Turns our our radios use the same battery as the MX-950. I went to ebay to get my son a replacement battery for his radio, and ended up getting THREE because they were FIFTY CENTS each, brand new, clamshell packaged, and they have been working all year now. That'll fit!
Sorry, that blows my itty bitty mind...
