I just got an MX-700 and am getting comfy with how to program it. There is one thing I don't understand, and the manual doesn't seem to make any mention of it:
When you use the editor, click on a button for a device, and then click on the "IR Code" combo box in the "Edit & Label Buttons" window, if you scroll through the resulting menu, you see 2 lists of hard buttons. They seem identical, but on some devices they are slightly different. For example, on my receiver, one lists shows "ON [POWER ON]" while the second list shows "P-ON [POWER ON]".
So, why are there 2 lists, and what's the diff?

Dan,
P-ON is a discrete command, where Power is just a toggle. As far as there being two separate lists of hard buttons, off hand, I'm not sure why there would be two and how they are being used. Additionally, if you're saying that the two hard button lists of an individual device differ, then that's very strange. I never came across this issue before. This is something you may want to ask URC directly. You can reach them at: (914) 835-4484.
