Haven't done this one before, but I'm sure client will want the TiVo interface but be able to watch HD channels. Likely use an MX-850.
What's going to be the best way to implement this? I am assuming a separate input to the TV for the TiVo and separate for HD.
Should I have a STD and HIGH macro on the TiVo panel? Or should I utilize favorites for the HD channels that include channel numbers plus an input change on the TV? That works until they want to add new channels.
I know they don't want the $999 HD/TiVo box so that's out.
I can see that when they were watching HD and press the guide it will not show unless the guide button is a macro returning the TV to standard def. All the input changing will be obnoxious.
Ideas greatly appreciated.

Since they can't be used together (the Tivo being SD only), I usually keep them totally separate and have "Watch Tivo" and "Watch HDTV" labels (and macros) on MAIN. What's the HD source? Doesn't it have it's own channel guide (unless it's OTA)?

Supposedly the price of the $999 HD/Tivo is dropping to $699 in couple of weeks. :-)
