I am starting to get the hang of my new MX-850, but still have some problems.

One of them is this; how do I get the macro to select a device so that when the macro is finished, that device is displayed on the LCD screen? For example, I want to push the "TV" button on the main page and have it play a macro that turns on the TV and sets all the correct parameters, turns on the receiver and sets all the parameters, turns on the cable box, and then changes the MX-850 to display page 1 of the "CABLE" device. I can do all of this except the last step.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

In the 'macro/favorites' box, click the 'go to page' as the last step af your macro.

Pilgram,

Thanks for the suggestion, but this does not do what I want. The "GoToPage" command tells the macro on which page the next command is located, but it does not change the page. I can do a "recal" command, which does change the display, but I can only get this command as the first command in a macro.

Anybody got an other ideas?

Mark, Im afraid that you are incorrect . Pilgram gave the correct answer. If you want to run a "Cable Power ON" macro and have the 850 end on page 1 of the cable device, you must do exactly what was suggested and record a "goto page 1 cable" command in the last step of the macro. Its exactly what I do for my 800 & 850.

Happy,

I stand corrected. I was running the macro from the editor software and not from the remote itself. Once I downloaded it and ran it, it works fine. Thanks for the assistance. To Pilgram, thanks for the help.
