Hi all... on the subject of memory, I've attempted to load a config into an mx3000 and the program stopped the download and a message came up that there wasn't enough executable memory to load the program. So for kicks I started deleting pages out of the program until I finally came in under the memory. All loaded in fine, but when I look at the available memory in the system area it shows a little less than half the capacity of the 64k taken up and about the same available. What's up with this and why does the executable memory seem to fluctuate between downloads...sometimes it pops up and says 0 memory available... Just a little curious.... ok and frustrated. thanks much

Try doing a reset on the unit itself and then reload the config. Not sure if this will help but when all else fails, reset is the first thing I do.

Tried that... also tried setting the unit back to factory default program. This seemed to open up a little more memory. I also tried loading a blank program in thinking that the existing program had something to do with available memory but this did not allow any more or less. Thanks for the idea.

Don't know if this applies, but scan this thread:

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Mark,

Disconnect the battery and press the reset button in the battery compartment a few times. Once you reconnect the battery, press and hold the "Main" button until you get to the setup menu when the remote is booted up. Go to the "Factory Default" section and reset the remote there too and then exit the setup menu. After that, load an empty program to the remote.

Let me know if this helps.

Thank you,
Damon DG
