Yup, me again...the plot thickens, as I have dragged a code into an MX3000 from the Universal Browser (originally a Pronto .ccf) - even though I have checked the box that says to repeat, the code issues only once.
Now: If I LEARN the same code in and check the box that says repeat, bingo it DOES repeat (oddly though, the codes don't actually work, but they do when issued from a Pronto).
Okay...so are there? A) bugs with repeating some codes from MX? B) any known issues with the universal browser codes simply not working when dragged into MX3000? (i have seen this with a lot of codes so far)

Thanks, i will try that. How about the oddity of codes not learning properly?(i.e. after learning and downloading, 'something' flashes when you push the button, but it does not actually control the equipment). It's as though the MX recognized that it had learned a valid code, but it somehow got corrupted.
By 2005 i'd say IR learning technology should pretty much be 'there' and I've learned IR on everything thrown at me...this is the first remote that just doesn't seem to 'take' when learning (or dragging) IR. I'm willing to concede I could have a 'defective' unit, but learning IR mostly does NOT work (after many, many tries I can usually get it to work) - at least they have a fantastic database of codes available (so far the only way I'm able to use it for work purposes, learning is way too flaky). Codes from the database work flawlessly.
And yes when I download, i'm downloading everything, not just pre-programmed codes.

Rob,
The remotes are "smart" enough to know if they have captured a complete or correct code or not. I'm not sure what would be involved in creating that or if it's even possible. All the remote knows is that it captured IR that falls within it's designated acceptable parameters.
Have you tried the "2-Learn"? That may be a benefit to you, as it will help you overcome toggle bit learning issues, if that's what may be causing the problem.
Let me know if that helps.
