You reminded me
of this time when I was dialoguing with an other

was answering Anthony’s question

LOL. That's a good one

I have been around since summer/fall
99, you have been around a long time, do you remember
when you showed up?

About a year after that as I recall. I remember lurking for awhile before I posted for the first time in October, 2000 (in the Pronto forum). Here's one of the early ones about the creation of the Home Theater Master website (hometheatermaster.com) if you want a laugh. Someone didn't believe it was real. ;-)

this must have been my first post [Link: remotecentral.com] but I know I got for work a Pronto back in oct/nov of 99 and even though the specs said that it should not work with the equipment (they need a high IR beyond what the Pronto was supposed to be able to learn) I decided to give it a try because the saite made it sound too cool

Yeah, he came back here last September, but then disappeared again. Greg's been pretty quiet lately as well.

Is that about the time they began producing remotes under their own name? ('99 or so?)

Their website says they have 20 years of experience, so is that mostly in OEM remotes?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

They did have the SL-8000 and 9000. Don't know if they called them HTM at the time or if the name came with the MX remotes

Well, I received my SL-9000 in 1999, it says "Home Theater Master", and was the second revision. I'm sure the 8000/9000 were the first with that name.

Yes, the Home Theater Master etc. line is just a small part of their total operation.
