Can anybody suggest a free program that's useful in creating/modifying .png graphics? I'm new to the file type, but I understand it allows the MX3000 to 'bleed through' some determined background color so the elements behind it on the panel can be seen (creating seamless button shapes, not big white squares with graphics on them).

Just curious, I've gotten around the issue by designing pages in an external editor and importing to the MX. Using the .png file types to add new buttons down the road would be the easiest way. Thanks!

Rob,

The only thing I can recommend is to check out the following sites:
http://www.download.com
http://www.tucows.com

Do a search for: create PNG

Let me know if this helps.

Thank you,
Damon DG

Hehe, thats what I get for posting a general question like that :) I've found a few, but I want to know which ones (if any) come recommended by people using the MX3000.

You can download an evaluation version of Paint Shop Pro 9 so you can get used to working with transparency. I think the period is 30 days but it's the only graphics editor I use. www.jasc.com

I have PhotoshopCS 8 and Illustrator, niether comes close for ease of use and features for the money. Paint Shop is $129.00 if you want to keep it.

Luckily the company I work for sprung for the Adobe software.
