On page 26 of the manual, it shows how to erase everything. Is this the same as Aux 155 that's mentioned in other threads?

Lefty,

There are a couple of types of erase usages...one will erase learned commands of a device, macros, etc., while the AUX 155 starts you out with only two buttons that you can simply remove, if you want to start from scratch and customize all of your button labels and learn an entire remote for that device.

Thank you,
Damon DG

Lefty,

Ok. What you want to do is start with preprogrammed code AUX 155 as your starting point. The reason for using this is that there are only two preprogrammed buttons for this code. You simply go in and edit the labels of the two buttons in that program, as well as adding any other button labels you want. After you do that, you go into learning mode and learn the commands to each button as you labeled them.

Does this help or do you need more info? Just let me know.

Thank you,
Damon DG

If you have a device that you taught a commands to, and you apply AUX 155, the learned commands will still be there. They need to be erased using the erase function.

Aux 155 isn't a good idea when it comes to remotes mx-350 & 650. Not only are the keys blank, but you're left with only one page per device. It takes time adding those pages back, not worth the trouble.

AUX 155 is really used if you want to start with a completely blank slate and customize all the button names, since it would take a lot more time to rename or move buttons from an existing template. At least, that's just one point of view that some installers have on the subject.

If you don't care where the buttons are and only need to make a couple of changes to an existing template, then you don't need to use AUX 155 and it would be a waste of time, as Edmund said. :)

AUX 155 was primarily used with the MX-500 to clear out any underlying preprogramming that interfered with FAV macros working properly. It's effect on devices other than channel changing ones is minimal. I haven't seen the same type of issues with the MX-350, but if you did experience such problems, applying the AUX 155 code to the channel changing device would solve the problem.
