We are controlling our new A/V equipment with an MX850 and MRF250 using the 6 flashers/emitters. In the MX580 editor, we have configured the front blaster to "OFF" and in the RF setup screen. We've changed all devices without emitters to receive IR only. Then we addressed each of the 6 RF-controlled components to a separate and unique line (LINE 1-6 in the "flashers" column).

After downloading our MX850 with this test config, pressing the LCD buttons for one of the 6 RF-controlled devices flashes ALL 6 emitters, not just the one emitter that we've addressed to that device.

We even tested with a "dummy" configuration that had only a single device set to LINE 1 and "MAIN" set to "IR only" and even then, all six emitters flashed!!

We have two components that are identical, so we really need this addressing capability to work. Thanks for any helpful suggestions you can give us.

Check the MRF-250 and if it's set (on the bottom of the unit) to ID "0", change it to something else. ID "0" is for testing and does not allow for IR routing, sending the signal to all emitters. Also, change the ID in MXEditor as well and redownload.

Mike: THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Your solution worked like a charm. Our Editor Software and MRF250 were both defaulted to receiver ID 0 (not 1 like the editor manual says), but we were hesitant to change it. It would have been better if either the MRF250 manual or the editor software manual blatantly identified receiver ID 0 as a test setting. THANKS AGAIN - YOU HAVE MADE OUR DAY! bobnjane
