I have been using an MX3000 in my home theater for some time with good success. In the past 2 days I have been unable to transmit any commands using RF; IR commands work fine. When I attempt to use RF commands, no signal is detected by the MRF250 receiver. However, I have an MX600 which transmits RF signal without difficulty to my MRF250. As a result, it seems as if my MX3000 is no longer transmitting any RF signals. I have tried the following: 1. Resetting the remote 2. Temporarily disconnecting the battery 3. Have downloaded all commands for the remote using the MXEditor Any experience with similar problems, and any suggestions? Thanks, Dave

Yhe MRF-250 should only recieve commands from your 600 if it(the 250) is se to '0'.
Have you tried setting the RF setting to '1' on the 250 and the 3000 ?
If it was working and then quit, I'm not sure what could have changed, but this is a good place to start.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the MX600 only was successful if the MRF250 was set to channel "0". I tried other channels, including "0" and the MX3000 still didn't work with RF commands. Thanks, Dave

So you changed channels on the base station, but did you re-program the corresponding channel in your MX3000 software? As stated, you cannot use channel 0 (zero).

Yes, I changed the channel in both the base station and the remote. Interestingly enough, I was able to have intermittent RF function this afternoon, but currently there is no RF function. Again, with the MRF250 set at channel 0 everything works fine with my MX600, but not with my MX3000. I remain perplexed. Any other thoughts? Thanks, Dave

if you call urc, they should be able to toubleshoot the rf with you. They will most likely fix or replace it if they find reason to believe it stopped transmitting

Interesting Roz. I have a client who's 3000 system with MRF250 just stopped working. Through phone support I have learned that the 3000 still puts out ir because the TV turns on and off, but nothing else happens (everything else is in a rack and only operated via RF). They cant see the 250 to see if it is getting the rf commands from the 3000 via the status light, so I can't know for sure if its the 3000 or the 250. I will be on site this week and will figure it out for sure.
I know this is nothing more than a coincidence - but it is a strange one at that.
