Okay, I did such a great job of hiding pages from my wife on my MX850 that I can't find the pages either :-) For example, how do I access main page 2 or device page 2 if they were hidden. I can see them with the MX-Editor but not on the remote. Also, I read a post that you can not hide main page 2 on the MX-350s. Is that correct?

Ounce a page is hidden, it can not be accessed by the remote. Not sure about the MX-350.

You can't hide main page 2 on the 350.
As for the 850, thats the point of hiding pages. So you can't access them with the remote unless you have a macro that puts the remote to the hidden page.

BigDM,

The reason you can see them in the MX Editor and not on the remote is because the Editor shows you everything that exists as part of your program, including hidden pages. That way, if you need to make edits later on, you can without losing anything or accidentally forgetting that you hid a page. I hope this helps clear things up a bit. :)

Thank you,

Okay, I think I understand. Once you hide a page you can not access it on the remote (MX850 for certain and maybe MX350). This really puts a damper on how I intended to use the remote. I simplified the remote so that buttons my wife would never use would be placed on hidden pages, but I wanted access to those button. For instance on my Mitsubishi TV I may need to do a gun alignment, or adjust the contrast or brightness, or select best settings for movies, sports, etc. My wife on the other hand is fine as long as she is able to watch the show she selected. The only solutions I am hearing is that I would have to unhide the pages in the editor when needed and download to the remote so that I can make the changes or always leave the pages unhidden.

you might create a seperate device that references all those codes in one area (keeping you hidden pages hidden), then tell your wife "Never, under any circumstances go here!" or "This is the history Eraser button. Do you know what will happen if you push it?!?" or something to that effect.

Lol. Thats good! :-)

I usually make a 'SERV' (service) button and offer the same warning.

I use Page 2 for descrete access to devices, and labled the top two devices on the LCD "WRONG PAGE!". Works like a charm

try this...

create a 'tv2' on a hidden page, and learn your tv menu commands to it
then on one of your lesser used devices, like a ld player or something, use the +10 button to start a macro.... on the macro window for that button, hit the record button, and the first thing you want to put in is like a 5 second delay, then do a page flip to your hidden tv2 page.

this way, you have to access the ld player page, then hold the +10 button down for 5 seconds before you get the page flip.

let me know if that works for you
