When I do a Standalone Learn on my MX-700, I see another choice for FAV. In the manual, they indicate that this and SCAN (no longer showing on the latest firmware) will be addressed later on. Was it ever? And if so, how do I use it? Please advise.

Yes, you can use the standalone FAV to record FAV macros (although it's much easier to do so in MXEditor). Just press FAV and then the FAV button you want to record the macro on. Go to the device that has the channel numbers, select them, then hit "Channel Up" to save the FAV macro. Don't forget to upload it and save it to your configuration later.

Thanks, Mike. I appreciate the info. But how were we supposed to know how to use these kinds of modifications (or that they even exist) by URC if there are no updates on the manuals? I couldn't find anything on it in their website. Am I missing something?

P.S. I bought my MX-700 2 years ago from you and I love it! Thanks again, Mike.

One of the issues is that this is a "if-all-else-fails" feature. Generally support will let installers and end users know about it if they can't perform certain functions through the software, etc. The idea is that if you create something via the setup menu and not the software, and then forget to upload to your computer, then you run the risk of losing your programming.

Thank you,
Damon DG
