I've been shopping for a remote to replace my URC-9800 and the MX-500 has bubbled to the top of my list, followed by the Harmony H659.

One thing that drives me crazy about my current remote is that when I replace the batteries I have to reprogram the entire thing. Does the MX-500 suffer the same fate? Is there some way to save off the programming or am I stuck every time I swap out the batteries? Since the H659 saves its configuration on the Logitech site, it seems like it may be the way to go unless the MX-500 saves the memory long enough to replace the batteries. I really would prefer the MX-500... somebody please tell me this won't be a problem!

The MX-500 will retain its memory for about ten years, without batteries!
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!
