So, I learned some codes, volume codes, into the MX 3000, but now they won't scroll even when I have "Repeat while button is pressed" selected, and have even turned the # of repeats way up. Tried doing a press time for it as well, but that didn't work. Tried using an MRF300 with an emitter, as well as learning the codes into a different remote, then learning them into the 3000. Nothing works. Most recent version on MX3000.

I posted this in another thread just today:

____________________________
Preprogrammed-
PP IR directly in button: If "Repeat while button is pressed" is checked Repeat number has no effect.
Alias to button with PP IR: Repeat number is applied regardless of "Repeat while button is pressed" .

Learned-
"Repeat while button is pressed" and Repeat number have no effect.

I don't know why it works that way but it does. However, I've haven't found any IR code that the MX-3000 won't learn. Try learn again and vary the time you hold down the button on the original remote. What has worked for me is just tapping the button. Or maybe in your case you'll need to hold the button longer.

Another possiblility is if you have a 700/800/850. Use it to learn, save the .mxf file and use Universal Browser to drag and drop the learned code to the MX-3000.

Normally, I would do the hold down longer idea, but I'm learning this code via the front of the unit itself, not the remote (believe me: the remote codes don't work, and it's not because they won't learn them) so it kicks out a set stream of IR, and you can't just hold it down for a longer stream. Also tried the 850 thing, but there's problems there See my other post: [Link: remotecentral.com]
for more info there.
