MX-3000 alias not working 100%

I have a simple alias in one device button that refers to a button in another device that has only a learned IR code and beep.wav. The device button with the learned IR works 100% but the alias only works about 80% of the time. I used an IR receiver that has a talk back LED to see when it was transmitting IR and the MX-3000 fails to transmit the IR about 20% of the time with the alias button. Instead of using an alias I tried copying the IR code and that works 100%.

The problematic IR codes are for TiVo transport commands. I have to use learned codes since there are multiple TiVos and I'm using secondary unique IR code sets.

I tried 2 different MX-3000's and both work the same. Is anyone aware of any issues with alias function?

Also I've observed that the "Repeat" and "Repeat while button is pressed" features for learned IR codes have no effect. I guess those features are only active for pre-programmed IR codes?
For Pre-programmed-
PP IR directly in button: If "Repeat while button is pressed" is checked Repeat number has no effect.
Alias to button with PP IR: Repeat number is applied regardless of "Repeat while button is pressed".
