OK, heres what I'm looking for. I want a remote that anyone, even a guest at my house, can pick up, look at a button that says "watch tv" or "DVD", touch it, and everything macros on. I'd get the Harmony but I need RF. Can I do this by programming the HTM? THanks

Should I consider the URC 200?

Sure you can! That's what of love about the URC/HTM remote line. Ease of use for the casual user.
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

Use the single line approach, with the opposite button/word being a macro & shortcut to the other side ie.

Left side Right Side
Watch TV

Watch page is empty, with macro(s) if needed, with a goto link to TV
TV is actual device page with learnt/pre-programmed codes.

I use this method myself, as you can have activity based remote instead of harder to use device based remote.

So "Watch DVD" will have punch through on volume for AV amp, majority of transport controls for DVD, with perhapsa few TV controls (power, ratio, input) You can keep all your learnt codes in the remote, but since never use them keep them in a hidden 3/4 page..ie you might never need shuffle or repeat commands, but unwilling to delete them. Hidden pages will be invisible under normal use.

I can send you my .MXF file if want to get a few tips on layout.

You won't be able to do what Mr Whippy suggested with the URC-200, only with the MX-650, 800 or 850 that has two MAIN pages (one for activities such as "Watch TV" and one for your devices). Otherwise, use the single word approach (ie: DVD, TV etc.)

You don't need two main pages to create activity style with a device based remote. Just organize the device is what you actually need during use..that's if the URC 200 can PT on DVD device to your AV amp, and allow shortcuts to buttons from other devices of course.

The URC-200, like the MX-350, only has a single column of LCD buttons, so you can't do the more descriptive activities. I didn't mean to say that you have to have two main pages to do an activity-based setup, it's just that you will be limited in number of devices or activities otherwise.
