I've had my MX-500 for over a year now and have not bothered with codes, but have learned all my remotes to it.

I have both the SD and HD TIVO's in the same room, so I initially programmed the TIVO remotes to diffentiate them, and that worked fine. Then I learned all each of those remotes' functions to the MX-500, and that worked fine.

Then recently, I got the battery low indication and changed the batteries. After that I noticed that the FF Button for the HD TIVO would not work, so I re-learned the FF from the original TIVO remote to the MX-500, and it still would not work. I tried this several times and still it will not work.

Does anyone know what could possibly be the problem?

Thanks

Are you sure it worked previously? There's a known issue with difficulty learning the FF command on the HD Tivo, using the HD Tivo remote. You may have to change the HD Tivo to the SD Tivo's ID, then learn it from the SD Tivo remote. Finally, change the SD Tivo to a different ID when you get the HD Tivo to work.

Thanks, Mike

It did work previously, but this is my second HD TIVO due to a HDMI problem, and I just activated this one and had set up the TIVO remote's ID to the same ID as the first HD TIVO - 5), right at the same time that the MX lost it battery power, so the first time I actually operated the second unit was after replacing the batteries. I'll try either changing the ID or the option to use the SD as the FF source.

BTW, I got my remote from your company - good service!

Thanks
