Would turing off the RF transmit for devices that don't need it provide any benefit in terms of battery usage?

I've never noticed any difference in battery life between an MX-600 (which transmits both RF and IR all the time) and an MX-800 (set to transmit only one or the other). That being said, I would turn off the RF (or IR) if it's not being used. Mike www.SurfRemote.com

I agree about turning off RF if you're not using it - but I haven't noticed any difference in battery life, either. I've found that a $10 set of batteries from CostCo or Sam's Club is enough to last years with any of the URC remotes :) David www.BlueDo.com
