I'm at the point where I need discrete codes for my Panasonic Onyx Plasma TH50SVX30 bad enough to pay for them. I really don't have the time or patience to find them in hex or another format and convert them for the MX-850.

It's impossible to create reliable, idiot (wife:-) proof activity macros without the following discretes for the Plasma:

Power-On
Power-Off
Input Select: Component
Input Select: Antenna-A
Input Select: Antenna-B
Input Select: HDMI
Input Select: PC
Aspect: 4:3
Aspect: Full
Aspect: Just
Aspect: Zoom

If someone is willing (and reliable) to create a device file for my MX-850 with these discrete codes, let me know the fee. I can pay with CC, Check or PayPal.

I also need discrete P-On/P-Off for a Pioneer Elite DV59 DVD player.

thx
-Neal

The available codes for your plasma are here: [Link: remotecentral.com]

Do you want those converted to try?

BTW, the pioneer doesn't appear to have discretes but it might turn on using the play button like on the 578A. Use a macro like play+stop+power for power off and play+stop for power on.
MX-850 Aeros • LG DU-42PX12X Plasma • Denon AVR-3805 • Denon DVD-1920 • JVC HR-S5902U • XBMC

How would I convert those codes to work with the MX-850?

The description says they are for "Panasonic Plasma Displays". I've downloaded numerous device files for various Pana Plasmas and only a few of the codes would work like the Video-2 Video-3 and PC/VGA. None of the others (Component, P-On/P-Off or Aspect descretes) work with the Onyx Plasma model.

Looks like I should have bought the Pioneer Elite Plasma!

Yesterday I downloaded and used v4.0.5 with the FAQ that Mike referred you to. Works well.
