Hello Again,
I have looked all over the place, and cannot seem to find the codes for the Yamaha RX-V2500 to load into my MX700.
I've tried the codes for the 1400, V-1, V-9, Z1 & Z-9 and none of those work.
Interestingly I found a PDF on Yamaha's site for the codes for the 2500 & 1500, and tried to enter the codes in manualy, but that did not work either.
Am I missing something?
With all of the 2500s that have been sold, I would have thought that these would not be that hard to find.
Thanks in Advance,
Tom

Tom,

Try the code for the RX-V2400. The Main (AUDIO 436) is the one to control your primary zone. The Zone 2 & 3 (AUDIO 437) will handle those zones accordingly.

Let me know if that works for you.

Thank you,
Damon DG

Well,
Thanks Man. That is a start, although I will have to poke around some more.
I tried that code from the MX Editor database, and the "TEST" function did not show that that file from the 2400 would work.
More time with the bible, I mean manual.
Thanks again.

Did you check the remote model numbers (in parenethesis after some of the receiver model numbers) to see if yours matched any. Also, I wouldn't always rely on the "Test" function. Try downloading to the remote and try them out.

The codes in the Yamaha PDF are in a completely different format that must be converted to hex form and then input into a Pronto CCF to be used with MXEditor. One thing you could check is whether the 2500 codes on that PDF match any other model that's in the IR database of MXEditor.
