So lets say I take the time to set up the remote just right, organize the components in the way i want to select them, then I relabel all the buttons for each device.... Then I decide I'd like another remote for my bedroom system. Of course, I don't have the same TV or DVD player in both rooms.
The question is, if I clone the remotes, and I go back to enter new codes for the devices, is there any problems I so be on the look out for?
The only one I can think of is to make sure the button labels I edited line up with the preprogrammed codes.

Kevin,
Yes, if you edited the labels, they will stay as you edited them. There is no "factory reset" you can perform to get the labels back to the way they were, and they do not change when entering a preprogrammed code. Basically, you'd have to do it manually.
This was something I really wish they would have changed on the non-PC programmable remotes. If they have already made this change, I was not aware of it.

With the 650, if you enter a preprogrammed code, the LCD labels change. It would be nice if they all did that though.

Mike,
Oh, ok! I wasn't aware that they implemented that feature. Is it only on the 650 or the 350 as well?

I don't believe so and I don't have one open to check. If I recall correctly, the increased memory capacity of the 650 (same as the 850) that allowed for the larger built-in database, also allowed for the label changes.
