Anybody get a Video Request to work well in a 850 or3000. On the Request web page they have a ccf available which I opened in the universal browser but some of the buttons work and some dont,of course its the transport buttons that dont work!! Called Request they told me that I was S.O.L. The ccf works flawless in a pronto, even tried learning from pronto and no luck. If anybody has a mxd that would be awsome.

I have an Audio Request code, but not Video.
If you send your original remote to Universal Remote Control, they can create a code for you. You can reach them at: (914) 835-4484.

Your right DG, the Audio Request works great. Got that in the rack also. You would think since Request wants to partner with everyone they would get it together

KB,
Actually, Escient worked closely with URC. If I'm not mistaken, they even made some changes in their newer versions of the Fireball systems, due to feedback from them. When I was there, they sent in a full system, including the screen and keyboard. It was really nice.

I know its a different forum, but I never paid attention to Escient. You say there pretty good? I'll have to check it out.

KB,
Yes, have a look. Escient makes some pretty nice equipment at reasonable price points. There's also Kalidescape, but their stuff is much more expensive.

Doesn't the Video Request ship with a remote like the Audio Requests do? If so, why not just learn it into the MX Editor? IMHO I wouldn't switch from Request to Escient for all the....

Ejfiii,
Oh, I wasn't suggesting to change out the components for Escient, I was just expressing my opinion of their product.
I learned the Audio Request remote to an MX-800 with no problems, so I'm sure it will work. If I remember correctly, there were just a lot of buttons to deal with...but not too big a deal.

Yeah I have the factory remote but cant even get them to learn that way either, in fact less buttons worked that way than it did with the ccf. Apparently the codes are super hot. They were still learning through a piece of copy paper folded in half. It's really not a big deal at this time we put it and the Audio Request in our showroom so no egg on face so far. Glad it wasn't in a customers house. Also your right DG the Audio Request had no problem learning in the remote.

Also your right DG the Audio Request had no problem learning in the remote. So the AUDIO Request learns fine, but the VIDEO Request is giving you trouble? Try this... 1) label all of your buttons on the MX for the Video Request 2) Press and hold "Main" and "Ent" at the same time, until you get to the setup screen (about 10 seconds) 3) Press the "Learn" button 4) Learn the commands to the MX as you would with any non-PC programmable remote. 5) Press "Main" all the way out of setup 6) Test the functions 7) If they work, UPLOAD your program to the MX Editor and save it. Let me know if this works for you. Thank you, Damon DG = = = = = Control Systems Consulting, Sales & Programming

Update DG, tried learning in through setup still no good. Guess I'm going to call and send my remote to Universal.
