I am a first time user so I probably have another dumb question. I just loaded my software and can't seem to find 2 of my pieces of equipment listed and I really don't know how to search the file section. I did try, but don't know where to search for the 850.

I can't find my Zenith Plasma P42W46X and I have Adelphia Cable and I am using a Scientific Atlanta 8300HD with DVR. I don't even know what I should choose when setting up this remote.

Thanks in advance.

Well I did some more research and it looks like I can just use the 8000 series to setup my remote for the cable box. Now I just need a suggestion for my Zenith plasma TV. The only thing I need to do with it is to turn it on and go between Component 1 and DVI as my sound is by the receiver. Component is for the cable box and DVI is for my DVD player.

The answer was right under your nose and you didn't even know it. Files for the MX-700, 800 and 850 are all interchangeable. Here is a link to the proper file section:

If you are really desperate and you still can't find what you are looking for, you can try a Pronto .ccf file. MX-Editor has a universal browser that allows you to drag and drop codes from a .ccf file to your 850. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the link. I did find that a little while ago and searched the Pronto section, but I have not had any luck for my television yet.

I have an 8 year old 56" Zenith RPTV and I have never been able to find discretes for it. Hopefully, since your set is newer, the codes exist. It's just a matter of finding them. Have you tried using discrete codes for a different Zenith model? Manufacturers often use the same codes for many of their models.

For the SA8300, just use the SA8000. Control wise they are the same.
