Ok...I got a .mxd file today to hopefully correct a problem turning on my JVC (thanks ejfiii) but I'm having a problem importing the file. I searched the forum and it sounded like this problem has been encountered before by some people but I couldn't find the resolution.
I'm running MX 800 Editior software version 1.12.230 and here is what I'm getting.
I right click on the "main" page in the tree and click on "import device". I then open the .mxd file I'm trying to import. At that point the "import device" window opens up. This is where the problem comes in. the "available devices" section is blank. it looks like a it is pulling something in to page 2 of the main page called "JVCTV" which I assume is the file i'm trying to bring in. I can't do anything else at this point but cancel out. The save button is greyed out and I can't move any of the devices or re-name anything. I really can't do anything!
Am I an idiot? Am I completly missing a step or is this a software issue than needs to be fixed.

It's a bug in version 1.12.230. There's a thread about it on this forum. Uninstall it and get version 1.12.228 here. Mike www.SurfRemote.com

Mike,
Thanks for the file. It worked much better. Thanks for not answering the question about me being an idiot too!
